Catholics Returning Home

The Saint John's Parish launched the first of our 'Catholics Returning Home' programs in early 2005. Our intention is to conduct the programs bi-annually.

The programs are designed to encourage people who may have lost touch with a Catholic worshipping community to consider rejoining and actively participating in their local Faith community.

Our program for 2008 commenced in May and a second program for the year will commence in October in the parish library.

A group of committed, outreaching parishioners, supported by our Parish Priest, Father Michael, will guide participants through a series of talks and discussion sessions.

Participants will be reminded of what it means to be Catholic in our current world and all will have the opportunity to question, or voice, issues of concern in an open and welcoming environment.

If you are someone who wants to see where the Catholic community is in our time or you are seeking answers or guidance in your faith journey, then this program might just be what you are looking for. We certainly hope so.
